The Kenya Camp Experience

Our head coach and founder, Coach Hugo Van den Broek, lives and breathes this place. With a Master’s in Human Movement Sciences, over 30 years of running, and 24 years of coaching experience, Hugo has worked with hundreds of athletes—from complete beginners to elite marathoners. His scientific approach blends beautifully with the intuitive rhythm of life in Iten.

He doesn't just coach here. He lives here, runs these same red-dirt trails, and knows when to push and when to hold back. Under his guidance, you'll take on everything from fartlek sessions in the hills, to threshold runs at altitude, track intervals on legendary grounds, and easy recovery jogs with breathtaking views. Some days, it’s a tough grind. Others, it’s a massage and full recovery. That’s part of the magic—it’s not just about working harder, it’s about working smarter.
